The Smith & Wesson M&P .22 LR Magazine (model 14485) is a factory-original 20-round feeding device built to run in both the M&P 22X pistol and the M&P FPC 22 carbine. With one magazine that serves two rimfire platforms you can carry a single spare across your handgun and your folding carbine instead of tracking down separate mags for each. For anyone who shoots both S&W .22 LR guns that shared compatibility keeps your range bag simpler and your reloads consistent.
Capacity is where this magazine earns its place at the range. With 20 rounds of .22 LR on tap you spend more time shooting and less time refilling. A genuine Smith & Wesson factory component this magazine was engineered to precise dimensions and feed geometry offering the kind of drop-in fit and reliable lockup that owners expect from an OEM magazine. There’s no guesswork about whether it will seat feed or release correctly in your S&W .22.
The cross-platform fitment also makes this magazine a smart way to standardize. Buy a few and every one of them works interchangeably between the M&P 22X and the FPC 22 so your spares are never locked by your platform. That flexibility is genuinely useful for shooters who train with a pistol and a carbine in the same caliber and want the same magazine feeding both.
